Imagine it's 2030. Denmark's first ever national triathlon league has been a resounding success. The first of its kind, it has attracted top international talent and elite danish athletes alike, and has become a platform for showcasing the best of Danish triathlon. All danish triathletes are united by a common league, and the elite group of Danish triathletes are now stronger than ever.

Building a true national triathlon league

Denmark has always had a strong sports culture. Thanks to the unified efforts of the countless volunteers making it possible for the the culture to thrive. But, a global focus on the sport has created a new generation of talent that we have nurtured outside of national borders. The results: stifled national talent, unrealized potential, and a lack of national focus.

A single national league

The Danish Triathlon League will unite danish triathletes across international border, and introduce a new generation of talent structure to the national scene. The new league would:

• Standardize a hierarchically interconnected league structure for triathlon
• Clearly define non-professional, semi-professional and professional
• Simplify triathlon operations, such as registration, scoring and capital flow
• Fully digitalize the league, including live timing, scoring and ranks

The results? A more connected, simplified and digitalized danish triathlon ecosystem. More breakout success. An increased focus on the development of young talents, providing them with a clear path to the national scene, readying them for the world stage. Triathlon pivots from a niche sport to a mainstream sport in Denmark, attracting new sponsors from impactful brands and attention from the media.

The ingredient are right in place. We just need the right push. The momentum of building. National triathlete clubs, international talent and leaders standard united and ready to break the mold and create a new era of Danish triathlon.
